You've studied English for years but

You still don't speak well.

It was a tough trip for a 15-year old

It was a two-week canoe trek in northern British Columbia, Canada.  And the first week was breathtaking.  But after that the rain and temperature dropped - it turned into a survival game.

I remember one particularly miserable and cold night. I was huddled in my sleeping bag, using my breath to keep myself warm. I just wanted to quit and go home.

Language mastery is a very long and difficult journey, too.  At some point, intermediate learners get sick and tired of trying and failing, and just want to 'quit'.

However, the canoe trip had a happy ending.

One of the experienced (and very kind) hikers hid a surprise in his backpack.  And at the perfect moment he presented us all with chocolate. And in the middle of nowhere, we feasted..  And for the rest of that day I was full of energy - just from the surprise of one piece of chocolate.

I hope this podcast, and blog, and (soon to come) courses can be a piece chocolate for you.  I hope they help you find the energy, and knowledge to build your language learning skill.

So, where should you start?

Have a listen to the Harris English Learning Podcast. To find it, search for "Harris English Learning Podcast" on Apple Podcasts or YouTube. You'll find it on this website, too.

And if you like the podcast, sign up for the monthly transcript.  I will send you a beautifully designed PDF transcript sent directly to your mailbox a few days before the each new podcast is released.

I'm working hard to design some outstanding courses that will have specific, measurable language results.  I'll keep you updated as this progresses.

Happy Learning!
